At just 27 years old, Angie Lekalakala from the small village of Ga-Molepo Mankgaile in Limpopo is carving out a powerful path as a young leader and entrepreneur. Balancing her studies in business administration with running multiple ventures, Angie is breaking barriers for women and youth, while building bridges for others to follow.
Every ‘no’ I received while securing partnerships brought me closer to the right ‘yes.’ That passion for empowering others is what keeps me going.”
Angie is the visionary founder of InaBold Enterprises, a dynamic company offering tailored HR solutions, coaching, workplace safety, and content creation services across various industries. But her impact goes beyond business.
She also leads the NextGen Business Connect Awards, a groundbreaking platform that celebrates and uplifts women- and youth-led startups by providing them with visibility, mentorship, and crucial networking opportunities.
Through her work with Prime Matrix South Africa, a unique beauty pageant promoting confidence, authenticity, and self-expression, Angie challenges traditional ideas about leadership and empowers individuals from all backgrounds to embrace their true selves.
Her entrepreneurial journey has not been without challenges. As a solo founder, Angie has faced the realities of wearing multiple hats—learning marketing, proposal writing, and partnership building on the go. Rejections and setbacks, including moments of self-doubt and stress, tested her resolve. Yet, Angie describes these moments as the fire that forged her resilience.
“It’s in these moments of adversity that I’ve discovered my inner strength. Despite the setbacks, I’ve persevered. I’ve learned that consistency, rejection, failure, patience, and self-belief are what will turn my dreams into reality.”
For Angie, leadership means more than holding a title—it’s about inspiring change and uplifting others. “Growing up in a small rural village taught me that my background doesn’t define my future, but it fuels my determination. Leadership is about empowering others and creating lasting impact,” she says.
She encourages young women entrepreneurs to embrace their unique voices and take bold steps, reminding them that their vision can shape the future of business in South Africa and beyond.
Angie’s mission is to create a ripple effect of empowerment and innovation through her businesses. InaBold Enterprises helps organizations grow by providing expert support in HR and workplace solutions. The NextGen Business Connect Awards spotlights emerging entrepreneurs, addressing gaps in mentorship and funding access. Meanwhile, Prime Matrix SA redefines beauty and leadership, fostering a culture of confidence and authenticity.
One of Angie’s proudest moments came from the heartfelt feedback of award finalists, whose excitement reaffirmed her purpose. “Every ‘no’ I received while securing partnerships brought me closer to the right ‘yes.’ That passion for empowering others is what keeps me going.”
Advice for aspiring entrepreneurs:
“Believe in yourself and trust your instincts. Entrepreneurship is hard—honestly, it still is for me. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m learning and growing every day. Surround yourself with people who uplift you. Your background doesn’t limit you—your vision defines you. Be willing to learn, adapt, and stay true to your purpose. You’ve got this.”
Fun fact:
Despite her fierce business acumen, Angie is a natural comedian in her personal space. When not working, she enjoys competitive PlayStation gaming, experimenting with cooking as a self-taught chef, and singing. She’s also a big fan of the Mission Impossible films, drawing inspiration from Tom Cruise’s relentless drive.
